"Woman to Woman" is a reflection of that shift away from comparison, judgment, and quiet competition and toward support, encouragement, and shared strength.
Each piece in this series carries a message, a reminder that we are not meant to do this alone.
These are the words we need to hear.
The words we offer each other.
The quiet reminders that we are supported and that we are the support.
Because there is strength in knowing:
You don’t have to prove yourself here.
If you’ve ever felt like you had to figure everything out on your own…
If you’ve ever questioned yourself, held back, or felt like you didn’t quite belong…
This work is a reminder that things can be different.
That we can be the women who lift each other up.
Who fix each other’s crowns without needing recognition for it.
Each painting begins with a layer of newspaper representing the noise, the opinions, the conversations that happen around us.
Some of it stays. You can still see pieces of it beneath the surface.
But it no longer leads.
It’s pushed to the background where it belongs, making space for something stronger, brighter, and more intentional.
The portraits themselves are bold and expressive, with exaggerated color and presence. The backgrounds are softer—feminine, calm, and grounding.
Strength and softness, existing together.
Gold leaf is woven throughout the work as a reminder:
We are worthy of being seen, valued, and treated like the queens we are.
